   I don't know how old the original post is, since I see only the reply,   
   but for what its worth, NC from 4.6 on used to have a function to   
   password protect a profile.   
      
   This option had to be activated by visiting a page on the Netscape web   
   site.  This page has been taken off for quite a while, so the option is   
   no longer available
