   If I use Explorer to navigate to the .slt folder and below it to the   
   Mail/mail.optonline.net folder, I see the following files:   
      
   Trash - 273,112 KB, even though the Trash folder is empty.   
   Inbox - 507,937 KB. I have 1078 messages, but even considering those   
   with embedded graphics, I can't imagine over 1/2 billion bytes.   
   Sent - 263,173 KB. Again, seems far too large for 930 items, most of   
   which are just text (no graphics or videos).   
      
   Why isn't Trash file size zero? Is there a way to "compact" or otherwise   
   reduce the size of the Inbox and Sent files (without zipping them)?
