   There have been issues.  A new release, 8.1.3 is coming soon to address   
   many of them. Should be out in early April.   
      
   The freezing seems to a result of 8 "phoning home". Try reinstalling   
   8.1.2.  This time, when the dialog comes up that says Allow Netscape to   
   Gather Statistics, say no.  See if that helps.
