   Thanks for the suggestions.  After fighting with it all day I found an answer   
   that   
   worked here

   I then decided to switch to Thunderbird which many people recommended and   
   realized   
   my address book wasnt recovered.   
      
   I found a program called Dawn at   
      
   http://mysite.verizon.net/zakharin/software/Dawn/   
      
   That converted the netscape address book file into a thunderbird format and I   
   imported it in to thunderbird.   
      
   I will now definitely find a way to back up Thunderbird and hopefully I will be   
   happy with the program
