|    Problem with doc files    |
|    25 Apr 07 23:14:44    |
From: sherwindu@comcast.net              After removing a trial version of Windows Office 2003, I could not print doc       attachments from my Netscape 4.7. I know this is no longer a supported       program,       but I still prefer using it for emails. I use my Netscape 7.1 for browsing       activity.              I tried to change the application type in preferences to define a new handler       for the       doc files. Netscape said there was already an application for doc files.       However,       I carefully went through the list of application files and found no doc files       assigned.              My system assigns doc files to MSWord, which can read doc files from my hard       drive. Netscape has no listing for MSWord application. I tried creating a       handler       for doc's using Open Office, but Netscape would not let me do it, saying there       was       already a assignment for doc files. Folder options in Windows 2000 has the doc       files opening with Open Office. I'm stuck. Any ideas?               Sherwin D.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
