Its the files       without the extensions which contain messages. Files such as       inbox, drafts, sent, and so forth. *.msf files contain info       about which way things are sorted, whats been labelled,       tagged, flagged, and so forth. When you remove the .msf       files, then those things are moved. .msf files are       contained in the Mail folders, AND in the News folders.              You can, if you want, delete all the .msf files if you want.        Do this with the program closed. The file(s) will be       recreated when restarted.              A Tip: To find the location of your current profile: Click       on Edit, Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings, select the       account, and under Server Settings, near the bottom right,       is something called Local Directory. Look at that and it       will tell you the location of that account, and it will tell       you the approximate location of your current profile.              --       Please do not email me for help. Reply to the newsgroup       only. And only click on the Reply button, not the Reply All       or Reply to Author.
