From: sashathor@earthlink.net              Sorry, my 76 yo mind must be failing. NS 7.2 was what I meant. And I       did delete all the *.msf files under what I thought was the active       Netscape for the userid in question.              I did a "Finder" search as OSX wouldn't handle your search procedure.       Finder came up with multiple Netscape Inbox files (and Draft, Sent,       etc). I have installed NS 7.2 several times on this machine and they       seem all to have left traces of themselves (plus there are two other       userids that are working fine), so I chose the likeliest (I had deleted       [moved to another HD] all mail in the affected Inbox but not the 'Sent'       file, so that's how I found it). And I shut NS and Mac down before       checking for results.              What resulted was the appearance of mail up through July 28, but no       later (and this is the only machine that Earthlink is instructed to DL       the mail on the server. My other iMacs leave the mail on the server).              Finally, after producing mail up through 7/28, I got that familiar error       message (as on my first post).              I suppose I could delete ALL *.msf files in any way connected to       Netscape Inbox. Unless you have a better idea, this is what I shall do.              Again, much gratitude for you help.              hugh munro                                          Peter Potamus the Purple Hippo wrote:       > Hugh Munro wrote:       >       >> Thanks for the help . . . although I deleted *.msf files, I still get       >> the error msg, and can't bring in new email.
