From: sashathor@earthlink.net              Sorry to have wasted your time, and I do appreciate your attempts to       help, but nothing seems to work.              1. I deleted ALL .msf files, for sashathor, sashatwo and       sashathree@earthlink.net.              2. I then went into folders where I had material stored (about 15 of       them) and deleted all .msf files (to Trash I assumed, in all cases).              3. Oh yes, I was out of NS 7.2 at the time, and into the Mac HD.              4. I them rebooted the computer, brought up NS and after a bit it       brought up mail through July 27 (same as before).              5. Incidentally, it has been my practice to move all mail to a       separately named Inbox when over several thousand messages (Such as       "Inbox 5-17-07"), leaving just palin old "Inbox" for new mail.              6. Anyhoo, after reaching July 27 (there must be more mail stilon the       server), I hit the "Get Msgs" tab . . . and my familiar old error message.              7. I guess I give up, until maybe the guru at the Traverse City       Computer Haus (where I bought the machine) can tell me how to COMPLETELY       delete all traces of this version, so I can start over. (Even then I am       not condident -- I have 3 other Macs (incl this laptop) and never had       anything like this sort of trouble. When "hung" in a pgm (not the       problem here), there is a "Force Quit" option available in several       places, so I don't get the blue screen of PC death.              Again, many many thanks for your hang-in-there efforts.              hugh (a retired perfesser whose first 'puter was a TRS 80 -- the old       "expansion interface" model w/ all of 48k RAM -- boy did we learn to       write tight programs!)                     Peter Potamus the Purple Hippo wrote:       > the *.msf files do not contain the messages.
