   No.

The "original poster" isn't a person at all. It's a bot, a cron job set
up to shill a Web site. It's advertising. A Friend knows this.

Oddly, it's using IBM 437 character set, the very old "extended ASCII"
character set. This is the character set that included box-drawing
   characters. It's not using UTF-8.

A Friend has his newsreader set for UTF-8. He doesn't have an automatic
process to change the translation from one character set to another. He
can't render it correctly due to the character set mismatch.

My terminal emulation doesn't include a translation for IBM 437. When I
have a character set mismatch, I can change the translation manually in
the terminal emulation. But I can't automatically change the translation
   to something else.

   >the March of Progress.

This isn't progress. This is a shill that created a bot to advertise
a Web site that needs to be ignored by all the regulars in this newsgroup.
