   Isn't that really a function of both the original poster's choice of news   
   software and also that of the readers (i.e, people like you and me) ?   
      
   Personally, I wish that people *would* stick to 7 bit ASCII when posting to   
   Usenet, but I think that ship has sailed.  Over the years, I have written   
   many scripts to clean up the junk (as I see it, although others will   
   disagree) in Usenet postings, caused by people posting stuff in other than   
   7 bit ASCII.  I've learned to live with it, and accept it as the cost of   
   the March of Progress.
