From: le@main.lekno.ws              Music conductor Seiji Ozawa, born (in then-Manchukuo)       September 1st 1935,died February 6th 2024,       the Wikipedes have announced citing Japanese language       sources...I suppose a measure of his having receded from       visibility in the English-language press.              He was music director of       the Toronto Symphony from 1965 to 1969,       the San Francisco Symphony from 1970 to 1977,       the Boston Symphony from 1973 to 2002,       and the Vienna State Opera from 2002 to 2010.              (Learning of his death reminded me that I have       yet to see any of this year's VSO New Year's       Concert,I usually watch at least the Strauss       encores at some point).              -=-=-       The World Trade Center towers MUST rise again,       at least as tall as before...or terror has triumphed.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
