   ...Jannati has now been replaced as head of the Assembly   
   of Experts (2 members of which died in the crash) by   
   Mohammed Ali Movahedi Kermani(born 1932).There had been   
   elections to the body in March and I'm not sure if the   
   new leadership right after the crash was more than a   
   coincidence.Jannati still heads the Guardian Council   
   (his term runs to 2028).
