   It has reached the British press that Neil Primrose,since 1974 the 7th Earl of   
   Rosebery,   
   born February 11th 1929,died June 30th 2024.   
   His WW II evacuation to a school in the county north of me was an annoyance to   
   schoolmate   
   William F. Buckley Jr.,who wrote of the then Lord Primrose in a 1981 NYT   
   Magazine article.   
   His son,the new 8th Earl of Rosebery (and 4th of Midlothian,an additional   
   title given to   
   the 5th Earl,who in the 1890s briefly succeeded William Gladstone as Prime   
   Minister of   
   the UK,in 1911),was born on the 20th anniversary of the wedding of Queen   
   Elizabeth II   
   and the 10th anniversary of my parents'.
