   I note as the product of a web search the death of H(arold) John   
   Riley,Jr.,born November 13th 1940,on June 1st 2024.   
      
   He rose through the ranks of Crouse-Hinds Company,with which   
   my father once had a patent licensing agreement,and then Cooper   
   Industries,which acquired Crouse-Hinds in 1981 and of which I   
   was a shareholder for decades.Crouse-Hinds manufactured   
   electrical products,and as CEO (from September 30th 1995)   
   and chairman(from 1986) of Cooper,Riley arranged for the   
   spinoff of the non-electrical-product parts of Cooper.   
   After his retirement,his successor presided over the sale   
   of what was left of Cooper to Eaton Corporation.

   at least as tall as before...or terror has triumphed.
