With WCBS gone my only-radio-station-listened-to accolade
goes to WINS (NY area's other all-news station that had
come under common ownership with WCBS long ago)...I retuned
my car radio, and in recent days set to retune my nightstand
radio (rarely used,I actually won it in a raffle as a child
in the 1960s and have used it in the 1970s...not sure I got
the dial to WINS (1010) but the digging unearthed my father's
(originally HIS father's) ninety-odd-year-old pocket watch,
which I had suspected was buried in the papers by the radio
over a decade ago,and a Team Twin Towers REBUILD pin, which
   I thought was,like all my others,lost forever.

While my maternal grandfather's Omega watch stops and needs
cleaning every few years,my paternal grandfather's Illinois
runs fine when wound despite its very long inaction.
