   According to Variety and others,David Lynch died today   
   (January 16th 2025),four days short of turning 79.   
   A director of film and television,author,artist,and   
   musician,his evacuation in the face of the California   
   wildfires after longstanding emphysema was said to   
   have "triggered a terminal decline in his health".
