   Virginia McCaskey has died, age 102, ending an era. Her father George   
   Halas founded the NFL in 1920 and owned the Chicago Bears franchise.   
      
   She voted the block of stock owned by 13 family members, which was 80%   
   of the shares of the team.   
      
   The 2024-25 season was just awful. In fact, 2024 was a terrible year for   
   all Chicago major men's professional sports teams with a universal   
   losing record. It wasn't just the White Sox.
