   When former Royal Dutch/Shell chairman Sir John Jennings died   
   in August 2024,I remarked that his predecessor's predecessor   
   Sir Peter Baxendell was still alive...according to an announcement   
   in The Daily Telegraph this has ceased to be the case,with Sir Peter   
   (born February 28th 1925) succumbing to mortality on September 13th 2025.   
      
   I had similarly remarked on the apparent survival of former Grand Metropolitan   
   chairman Sir Stanley Grinstead on the death of HIS successor's successor,   
   but it now comes to light via crickethistory.website (I despise the   
   proliferation of TLDs!!!) that Sir Stanley (born June 17th 1924) apparently   
   died on July 13th 2009.
