   The Torah scribes would like a word...

   Well,in the century after Jesus died people wrote down what   
   they said he said,and what they had to say about him to their   
   followers.   
   And a couple of centuries later some of what they said got   
   declared to be the Word of God.   
      
   Best they could do,I guess.
