   Nor would we turn nose up at commentary on South American practices,   
   much being the same but for some terms, and some being quite different   
   ways of accomplishing the same thing. And the history of the West must   
   include such things as the Panamanian passage, which was almost a   
   microcosm of the North American frontier, with railroad barons, bandits   
   and vigilantes.   
      
   And I suppose that he who makes the myth make money makes the name, and   
   the American western did that.
