   The only part of your statement that I would alter is that it was mostly the   
   federal and local governments that lied to the Indians. They simply refused   
   to keep the unsavoury white elements under control, like President Andrew   
   Jackson with the Georgians who wanted Cherokee land in the 1830s.   
      
   Really, in the Bible it is called covetousness. Wanting what is not your's   
   and what you have no right to want or have.
