Neither       country is blameless in the way the local indian population was treated.       However Canada did do a better job. They even let Sitting Bull stay       there without hounding his followers.       As for the religious aspect, the white settlers and early explorers felt       there way of worship was all wrong and tried to change it to our way of       worship. Again a wrong step. Why must our way be the only way. I don't       mean to sound anti-religious but in my mind how you worship your version       of god is up to you.       More people died in the name of religion       than in war I think.       Wounded Knee is a main example of that.       The whites were afraid that the Ghost       Dance would stir up the Lakota people so they sent the 7Th Calvary to       stop it. They already ad a ax to grind with the Sioux nation. The       result, slaughter...
