   Any new western that comes on is worth a look, IMO.  I tried watching   
   "Ponderosa" and "The Magnificent Seven" but really couldn't get into   
   either one. Identified too closely  with the originals for the remakes   
   to take root, I guess. IIRC, the last western series I watched with   
   any regularity was "Paradise" with Lee Horsely, back in the late '80s.   
      
   I was also concerned about the potential CSI angle for "Peacemakers",   
   but I guess the temptation to get one out there before CBS thinks of   
   it could be great, since they already have 2 hit CSI shows and another   
   on the way ("Naval CIS", ostensibly a spin-off of JAG but who do think   
   they're fooling?). How long would it have taken them to come up with a   
   western version?
