The sheriff was trying to stop a confrontation and was actually trying to
get the group to leave town. He was NOT trying to disarm them because they
were in violation of any ordinance. Your previous statement said they were
required by law to hand over their guns. This is not true. Talking to the
Sheriff is not an inidication you are comitting a crime. State the
   ordinance the Clantons were ignoring.

What practice? Doc had a degree in dentistry and once he came west, he
occasionally pulled teeth. He did not have an established practice in any
one place in the west. It was Wyatt's biography, followed by historically
inaccurate movies and then a TV series which made Wyatt and thus Doc a
household name. It was not their contribution to the west which did this.
Doc and Wyatt are two characters where western history has blown their
contribution out of proportion. Name a town founded by either, name a trail
blazed by either, name a geographical wonder first seen by either...you
   can't.

If you want to read about a real gunfight between lawmen and "outlaws", read
about the gunfight at Ingalls, OK. Now that was a gunfight.
