From: sgrimm@fpcc.net              "Knights of the Green Cloth - The Saga of Frontier Gamblers" by Robert K.       DeArment        An older book I recently acquired. DeArment brings to life the       frontier gambler and        their lifestyle in this underrated book. Profiles of many unknown (to       me) names make        this a great read.              "Lynching in Colorado - 1859-1919": by Stephen J. Leonard        The title says it all. Good footnotes and easy reading make this an       interesting book        especially if you live in Colorado.              "The Grey Fox - The True Story of Bill Miner" by Mark Dugan and John       Boessenecker        The story of the most successful train robber and escape artist.        Nicely done              "The Death of Crazy Horse" compiled by Richard G. Hardoff        A gathering of interviews from people who were at Fort Robinson when        Crazy Horse was killed, military documents about the event and       newspaper        accounts shows how confusing the whole event was. A book I had to       read        all the way through in one sitting.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
