   NM Congressman Steve Pearce has requested letters in support   
   of the preservation of historic Ft Stanton, NM. This   
   important frontier post encompasses some of the most   
   scenic land in South Central New Mexico. The State of   
   New Mexico wants to sell off this historic military post to   
   private interests. If that comes to pass, you can be   
   assured it will be turned into yet another housing   
   development. I am putting the following letter in the mail   
   today and hope others will spare the few minutes it   
   takes to do likewise:
