Beautiful       country, it is - and too many people are fast discovering that, so I'm       all for it - as long as it's not overly pork-ish in rescuing it...              I am NOT a fan of Pearce - did not vote for him - and I plan to campaign        against him in his next re-election - I did NOT appreciate his       appearence at the "Mulligans & Margaritas" of golfing and a wine & dine       weekend affair at the Phoenix Biltmore Hotel, a few weeks back - rubbing       shoulders with the most powerful oil and energy lobbiests in the       country, there to buy and sell the politicians at a $3000-a-plate       Republican fundraiser... I know he comes from Hobbs oil - but - he       supposed to work for us - not the lobbiests...              He's a man that has been consistant with the pork-spending of Congress       and had voted straight down the GOP line - siding with the higharchy of       the Republican Party who have held this party captive from actual       democratic process of open debate and policy changes - OTHER than what       benifits a small cabal - for at least the last 15 to 20+ years... Other       than just a very few exceptions, the Republicans have rarely debated       differences of ideas and opinions with their respective members - and       are towing the line to keep that all-important purpose of office in       mind.. To make sure that they get re-elected, over and over - and their       higharchy controls the purse-strings to the campaign coffers - The needs       of the country come second to this.. And Pearce is now part of this       machine - and he shows it by his voting record - and who he's chummy with!              Ok, so he'll throw us a bone and give us a benign offering of Ft.       Stanton - I'll bite - I'll copy your letter and email it along to him..       It won't be the first one I've sent him... Maybe I'll even snail-mail       it, this time...              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
