   Slight correction there Steve. "Calamity Jane" with Doris Day was not   
   based on "Annie Get You Gun" it was a screen original with songs by   
   Sammy Fain. Irving Berlin's "Annie Get Your Gun" was filmed in 1950   
   with Betty Hutton as Annie Oakley. I can understand the confusion   
   though, Howard Keel was in both, he played Wild Bill Hickock in   
   "Calamity Jane" and Frank Butler in "Annie Get Your Gun".
