   I'd kind of like to ride it on my motorcycle, the closest modern   
   equivalent to doing it on a horse. I never made further west than San   
   Antonio until 10 years ago when my brother and 2 friends and I all   
   went camping at the Grand Canyon. Once we got out into N. Mex. and AZ   
   on I-40 and I was looking out over the landscape where even today you   
   can go for miles and miles without seeing anyhting that looks like   
   civilization except the highway itself, all I could think was "What   
   the hell were the first guys who ever came out here on nothing but   
   horses thinking?" Talk about balls...
