   Yup, I live in Canada and am not at all an expert on Texas history. I know   
   perhaps more   
   than your average person but not enough to have a reasonably satisfying   
   discussion for you   
   folks. I used the term "white" simply to denote the largest group in the film   
   who were   
   opposed to Mexico. They did have people of Spanish background amongst the   
   "whites" but   
   they were a much smaller group.   
      
   Anyway, that was just my impression of the film. You just get tired of all the   
   talk and   
   want some action ;)
