   I was curious myself but hadn't done any research.   
      
   Thanks for your usual wealth of information and   
   resource. I knew the term "Regulator" was old in   
   terms of USA history, but I can't myself recall   
   hearing of its use in England or the other colonies   
   prior to settling of the USA.
