From: nospam@abc.net              The victors that day, the Lakota, have numerous artifacts from the 7th Cavalry       which have       been passed down from generation to generation. There is a current thought in       tribal       circles which would like to return all the things kept from that day to the       descendants of       those who fell there. They feel that the severe social and economic       difficulties they have       faced since 1876 are traceable to the tribes' disobedience of Sitting Bull's       warning when       he prophecied their victory over the Bluecoats prior to the Little Bighorn. He       told them       that no one was to take any property belonging to their enemy combatants but       to find       sufficient satisfaction in the victory alone, or else a curse would come upon       them       collectively.              I thought everyone might find that interesting.       --       Todd              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
