XPost: nm.general, alt.culture.us.southwest       From: gutsy@dontemailme.com              Paul E. Patterson died last week. Among his published books on       many "western" subjects are these:              Triple Crown - horse racing stories.              Whoopie Ti Yi Yo              Hardhat and Stetson - Biography of Robert O. Anderson              Great Plains Cattle Empire              Sins of the Father              Deception              The Mark of Cain              Dusty Memories, 1979-2004 - An anthology of works by Paul E. Patterson       published just prior to his death in Ruidoso, NM, by       Write Designs, LTD. Publishing House.              In the preface to his last book, he says, "English was       a subject that never interested me, neither in high       school or college."              While he's not the world's best grammarian, I recommend       his writings to anyone interested in contemporary       tales of cowboy life, and related stories of the       contemporary west. In his lifetime Paul was published       by New Mexico Magazine, The Western Horseman magazine,       Livestock Weekly, Field and Stream magazine, Gold       Prospector magazine, and others.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
