   Then most history books would be written by those with degrees. I've never   
   found that to   
   be the case. It is a talent, not a learned thing, though there are exceptions.   
      
   In my 46 years of experience, I've found that many "historians" only repeat   
   what they   
   learned in their ivory tower and don't contribute much to expanding our   
   understanding of   
   the past. The twigs and seeds types who can't develop a comprehensive overview   
   because   
   they are immersed in trivia, sometimes just perpetuating myths and propaganda.   
   The history   
   of the West is over run with that sort.
