   The "Friday the 13th" series went at least to "Part X"   
   "Nightmare on Elm Street 7" was the last of that particular line.   
   The "Halloween" went to "Halloween 20" although that was actually   
   the 7th in the series; the premise for "20" was that it was   
   set twenty years after the initial picture   
      
   No, I haven't actually seen any of the movies but I've been   
   a bit fascinated that this particular genre seems to generate   
   repeated sequels.
