   I have read too much and aborbed too little to   
   be able to remember specifics, but I distinctly   
   recall one "first hand" account of a planned   
   raid by either militia or the regular military   
   on an Indian encampment where the commander called   
   for whatever the Indians had to be "confiscated."   
   Not destroyed, as I recall, but confiscated. What   
   was done with the "booty" I also don't recall but   
   there was a logical sounding reason for the action.   
      
   By "first hand" account, I'm referring to publication   
   of either a personal journal or memoirs of a witness   
   or participant to the events.
