I had an interesting experience with Rawhide over at another newsgroup. A
guy from Poland asked about the song Rawhide from the first Blues Brothers
movie. (The group's for Blues Brothers fans). I explained that the song was
the theme to a popular western TV series here in the US, and that the lyrics
were about driving a herd of cattle. Hearing that song would be weird if you
had no idea about the series! He understood the words and everything, he
just didn't understand why that was in the movie.
