   I was trying to address the specific question that began   
   this thread, to wit:   
      
   "Is there one or two Indian tribes in the old west that were known for   
   producing the most fiercest and toughest warriors than other tribes?"   
      
   I interpret "old west" in the context of this forum to mean   
   "old west" as generally referenced - which excludes everything   
   east of the Mississippi as well as most mid-western and   
   certainly those usually referenced as "pre-columbian."
