From: planetmir@gmx.net              Your PPC system is not in the compatible list, but judging from the       components, BeOS R5 should run on it if the video card is supported (if       not you get a picture nevertheless, but it will be slow). I use a       Voodoo2 3000 on my 7600 Mac, btw, and before a Matrox Millenium, pretty       cheap used cards nowadays - the Voodoo can be patched from PC to Mac.              BeOS R5 for PPC is not available as a free PE version, so you have to       get a BeOS Professional Edition CD (from eBay or one of the BeOS       dealers), on that PPC and x86 versions are included. It is worth it for       PPC computers IMO. Zeta does NOT include a PPC version anymore.              About your PC, I don't know really, but I believe it would work if you       had IDE/UATA drives. AFAIK, SATA is only available in Zeta (the newer       BeOS) on an install CD. If you have the option to use an IDE drive, try       the BeOS Max Edition, where many drivers you'll need (e.g. dor Radeon       and P4) are already included.              Just try...       Regards,       Pete              Chris wrote:       > I have a pair of systems that I'm looking to run BeOS on for a learning       > experience.
