From: dafreak@venomstats.com              I have a pair of systems that I'm looking to run BeOS on for a learning       experience. I think that it can run on both of these systems but I'm not       sure. I'd also like to know if I have to buy BeOS for the PowerPC I have       or if there's a way to load BeOS PE on it. Here are the system       specifications (I'm aware a few components may not work, however I want       at least the basics)              System 1:              Dell Dimension 8300       Intel motherboard i875 chipset       Pentium 4 3.0GHz HT CPU       1GB of PC-3200 RAM       120GB SATA HD (NTFS formatted)       80GB PATA HD (NTFS formatted but can be changed)       ATi Radeon 9800 Pro       Sound Blaster Audigy 2       Pinnacle PCTV Studio       Intel Pro 100/VE       Logitech MX500 mouse       NEC 16X DVD+RW       Samsung 16X DVD-ROM              System 2:              PowerComputing PowerTowerPro 225       PowerPC 604e 225Mhz CPU       80MB of RAM       4GB SCSI HD       8MB SuperVGA video card (unknown manufacturer, whatever came with the       system it is a PCI card)       USB Host PCI card       Toshiba 8X CD-ROM       Built in sound & networking              All help and suggestions are appreciated.              Thanks,                            Chris              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
