From: snuhwolf5150@hotmail.com              Heres an update on my experience with BeOS5 PE on a toshiba laptop       490CDT...233Mhz PII ....the vesa driver from bebits got the monitor to support       color but there must be some problems with how BeOS handles memory allocation       to apps. NetPositve could        crash & reboot it as well as simply changing a background for a solitaire       game. Both newsreaders locked it up and caused a "kernel panic". I understood       that 64MB of ram was sufficent to run BeOS. I get the feeling that BeOS was       optimised for the PPC        archetecture and not Intel machines.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
