   Why don't you just edit the kernel file in the /settings directory and tell   
   it to not boot with DMA by default when booting beos (if this is indeed the   
   real conflict). Also, I suggest you disable any serial or parallel ports in   
   your BIOS  and see if that fixes the problem.
