   Opps, I just noticed that WorkSpaces is size-able.  I scaled it up and found   
   it very usable but now I know it is possible I miss not being able to see the   
   contents of the windows.

   PS. overlaying windows in each screen is not a problem for me, I have 12   
   virtual screen running and each one is laid out so the needed parts of each   
   window is already available, but I do see the advantage of see all windows in   
   the clear as well.
