   I don't use myself (like better "Melt", also available at BeBits), but IIRC   
   don't use latest cdrecord version with BurnIt, choose instead 1.9.   
   Don't use cdrecord v2.xx alpha, because it's break BurnIt too.   
      
   Check you've only one version of "cdrecord" binary on your system, and it's   
   in /boot/home/config/bin.   
      
   Hope it help a little.
