   Beyond filetypes:

   The OS should conceive the filetype by examining the file content, NOT
   by file extensions. File extensions (*.txt, *.exe, *.etc) are only good
   for humans' readability.

   A real filesystem understands it's objects.

   Objects in a filesystem can be anything; executables, packages,
   pictures, links, folders, devices. Virtual folders may point to places
   on the net or they automatically collect + sort objects based on a given
   criteria. Eg. MyFilmFolder should contain all objects that mension
   "Hopkins or Agent Brown".

   You can have several diff views (=virtual folders) of your filesystem.

   Filesystem objects may have several attributes;
   name, created/changed date, expiry date.....,and the TYPE which is
   auto-detected or explicictly given by a user.

   Objects are automatically moved to /history-2003/ directory when expiry
   date strikes.

   Filesystem with revision control. Why not keep several versions of the
   same file object.
