|    BeOS 4.5 reading MS-DOS disks    |

From: mcostanza@austin.rr.com              I have installed BeOS on a Dell Notebook with some success. I'm       currently trying to move some Ethernet drivers over to the notebook to       support the PCMCIA Ethernet card. I have managed to get these drivers       onto a MS-DOS floppy disk but cannot seem to get BeOS to recognize the       disk. I have changed the mount settings to accept all disks. I then go       through the manual mount floppy command. BeOS responds with "unable to       read disk or disk is not formatted" error.              I was under the assumption that BeOS supported mounting of multiple disk       formats as stated in the BeOS bible. Am I missing something here or will       BeOS not read MS-DOS formatted floppy disks?              Thanks in advance for any info.              Regards,       --       Matt Costanza       Austin, Tx USA              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
