   Nope, Bochs is an emulator that emulates each single CPU instruction in   
   C++, which is why it's horribly slow.   
   VMware on the other hand is a virtual machine, ie. it uses the real CPU   
   to execute most of the instructions, only previleged ones have to be   
   emulated (which takes a lot of tricks, because IA-32 wasn't designed   
   with virtualization of the Protected Mode in mind, only Real Mode).
