   PPPoE is PPP (Point-to-Point Protocol - *dial-up*) over Ethernet. I   
   don't pretend to know WTF that's supposed to mean (I've always thought   
   of PPP and Ethernet to be mutually exclusive) but I do know that it   
   requires client software on your end. Check here - this includes a list   
   of ISPs that it is known to work with (as of 2001, hasn't been   
   updated...):

   BeBits has a driver that says it's designed for ADSL, but I don't
