   Well, just to try it out you could use the option to start up with VESA mode   
   support only.   
   If you like BeOS, then you should be able to get yourself a reasonable   
   supported grpahics card to replace the Hercules quite cheaply. Cards based   
   on the S3 Savage 4 graphics chipset are really cheap, it is also used   
   built-in to m/boards quite frequently. By no means leading-edge 3D   
   acceleration, but it is reliable and supported.
