I have to agree with that accesment of Unison. This message is being
sent using Unison, and I have been using it with OS X, but I have not
been that happy with it. The bulk of news reader applications seem to
be designed to attract the power news junkie. I continue to look for a
   simple news application.

I have have had even less luck finding a good news reader for BeOS. I
have not really gotten any of them to work well enough to even give
them a good trial. BeInformed and BeNews(?) crash before they even get
started, and Pineapple stops downloaded newsgroups after about 20
   groups.

Cyberdog in the Classic Mac OS is my best liked news reader. One of its
nicer features is that one can enter the newsgroup to read, meaning it
works very well with no need to download a full list of groups from the
   server.
